We had a fun day at Sharon Woods with our cousins, Logan and Layla. Annie decided this would be a good spot for a picture and I agree. These 3 are real good buddies.

Annie on the Reptar
Annie rode the steel coaster "Reptar" for the first time at Kings Island. She was so cute I just had to show her to you all.
Annie and her Daddy at Journey
Nathan sang "(Dance with) Cinderella" (Steven Curtis Chapman) at Journey on Sunday. We had Annie dress up as Cinderella and dance on stage. It was priceless and there were only a few dry eyes in the audience. She was awesome!

Josie's First Kings Island Trip
We spent Sunday afternoon at Kings Island. Josie was so good the whole time. She didn't cry once. Of course, the only ride she could ride was the carousel, but she loved it.

Our trip to the Zoo
We are so glad for the nice weather. We were able to go to the zoo for the first time in 2008. It was very crowded but we had a lot of fun. In this picture Annie, Josiah and their cousin, Logan, are standing in front of a black bear (which you can barely see).
The Polar Bears were so much fun to watch. One of them was playing with a small tire and got it stuck around his head. He tried for 5 minutes or so to get it off and finally went in his cave to pry it off his head. We think he was embarrassed by all of us watching. Well, just a thought!
Josie and her cousin, Layla, just chilled out the whole day. They seemed to really enjoy their first trip to the zoo together.
One of Annie's favorite animals is the Zebra. This one was especially beautiful.
This is a picture of Annie looking face to face with an Orangutan. They seemed so sweet and calm. This had to be my favorite part of the entire day. We stayed here for a good 15 minutes just looking at these beautiful creatures God made. ( See the Orangutan's hand on the glass at the top.) So sweet!
Making our way back to the car after a LONG, fun day at the zoo. We wanted to leave at 2:30 but did not get home until after 4:00. Needless to say, the kids were wiped out!
One last photo op! It is Zoo Blooms time at the Zoo right now and we just had to get a picture in font of the beautiful tulips. Thank you zoo for a wonderful and happy day. See you next time!
Josie meets Grass
Josie got her first taste of grass this Spring. And when I say taste, I mean it (see below). Fortunately, she didn't throw up after it. :)
Fancy Nancy
One of Annie's favorite things to do is dress up. We read a book at the Library called "Fancy Nancy". It is about a little girl who dresses up and tries to get her family to as well. Everything Nancy does is Fancy. So Annie liked to dress up sometimes and go to dinner or just play outside and I like to call her my little Fancy Nancy.

Rub a Dub Dub....
Josie took a bath in her Bumbo for the first time. She really loved it and just laughed at her brother the whole time. She sure is a jolly little baby. She is definitely sleeping through the night now. She slept 10 hrs. straight on Saturday night and then 9 all the rest of the week. I am loving my sleep!!
She started saying "Mama" Sunday and that is such a great feeling. Of course, Nathan is working on "Dada" with her right now, but so far he has had no luck. She is already going through a mommy only stage. She cries if anyone else has her and she can see me. What can I say? She is a mama's girl! (for now)

Annie's New Do
Annie got a haircut and I think she looks bee-utiful. She is getting to be such a lovely young lady.

Dollywood Trip
On Wednesday of our trip, we made the 2 hour trip to Pigeon Forge and went to Dollywood. We had so much fun! There was so much to do: shows and rides and food. What more could you ask for?
We got a kick out of Josie trying to "read" the map. This girl is unbelievably curious. I think I am gonna have my hands full with her.
Dollywood has an eagle sanctuary. They have quite a few eagles and they fly around and sing. I don't think I had ever heard an eagle sing until this day. It was cool!
A nice photo op in Dollywood. Josie was with Grandma when this was taken.
Annie and Si with Grandma.
And here's how the evening ended for Josie. She was wiped out from a long, fun day at Dollywood. What an adorable little girl!!!!
Date Night!!
Nathan and I had our first date night since we had Josie 5 months ago. It was so nice of Grandma and Grandpa to keep the kids so we could go out. We went to Brothers Restaurant to eat and the shopping at Walmart. Hey! There is not a lot to do in Andrews, N.C.
Trip to the Reservoir
One of our favorite things to do when we visit Grandma and Grandpa is hike up the mountain to the reservoir. And boy is it a hike! I even tried running up most of it. Talk about feel the burn!
Here is Annie and Grandma walking around in the water. Grandma said it was so cold she couldn't feel her legs. I opted to just stay out!
I thought this picture was precious. I love my girl so much. She really is the sweetest baby I know.
These are two of the coolest kids I know. They skipped nap to walk up to the reservoir and didn't complain at all. The only problem we had was that I told Annie a story about a Cougar and she was quite scared the rest of the way down. She just kept asking if there were any "Hoogers" around. I will always treasure moments with my kids.
