We finally got enough snow to have a play day in it. The kids were out for over an hour and had a blast. Josie and I didn't make it quite so long but mostly cause her boots were a size 8 and she kept falling on her face (she only wears a 4).

Although they are not always "angels", they are pretty darn good kids!! I am very lucky God placed them in my life to be their mother.
We were preparing to go out and play in the snow, so I got Annie and Josiah some of Nathan's big warm socks to wear. After I got their socks on them, Josie comes up to me with a pair of Nathan's socks and hands them to me to put on her. So I did! She wore them out to play in the snow too.
Josiah had a day of fun and surprises for his birthday. It started off with him finding present #1 when he came down stairs for breakfast. It was a tee ball set and he said, "Just what I wanted."
Then, he had a banana for breakfast (his usual), but I put some Hershey's syrup on it to make it birthday fun!
After Annie got home from school, we went to Toot's for lunch with his best friend and cousin, Logan. We had GREEN cupcakes and ice cream after lunch (he specifically asked for green). Before lunch, he opened present #3, a new puzzle, which is one of his favorite activities to do with mommy.
Then, we headed to Chuck E. Cheese for some fun and games. We had a great time there with cousins, plus there was hardly anyone there besides us :)
When we got home, Nathan had hidden present #4 on the ceiling fan and it was funny trying to get Si to notice it. He opened his brand new cowboy boots and said, "Just what I wanted". :)
I let Si skip his nap since it was his birthday, and the kids played Mario all afternoon when we got home.
Josiah got a surprise present from the Falk's later that night and he loves his new bat man and chopper (thanks guys).
Finally, he opened present #6 right before bed and it was his special birthday P.J.'s - Superman w/ a cape.
I think it is safe to say he had a great birthday.
We celebrate Annie and Josiah's birthday together since they both have January birthdays. This year we decided to try the Great Wolf Lodge. This turned out to be a great choice! We left Josie with a babysitter for the night so we could just spend quality time with Annie and Si.
We checked into the hotel around 5:00 and then headed to Outback Steakhouse for dinner. It was yummy! Nathan and I split a steak dinner and we ordered a couple of appetizers to share with the kids. Then we headed to the hotel to get ready for the waterpark.
Annie obviously enjoyed herself :-)

I got the kids both a little present in honor of their birthday celebration.
When we got back to the room, I had some fun planned for us. I had brought a couple of games to play as a family; Twister and Charades.
We had snacks of Pringles and Doughnuts.
This trip was full of priceless memories.
The kids slept in the Wolf Den in our room. They thought this was the coolest thing. I thought it was pretty cool myself :-)
We'll never forget our special room at the Great Wolf Lodge.
Josie joined us the next day for some water fun. We missed her but had a blast doing things that we can't do when she is there.
The kids loved this snake in one of the pools. We played on this for hours.

I am so thankful for the opportunity we had to share this time as a family. We will never forget it.
We ended our birthday outing with story time in the lobby at the lodge. Then we headed to one of our favorite eating establishments, Viva Tequila. I think we have decided to do this every year from now on for the kids birthdays. It was a blast!
I tried to make Annie's day as special as possible. It started with her waking up to a pancake breakfast (her favorite). I had bought a few gifts and decided to give them to her throughout the day. I would just lay one here or there and when she found it she would come running to me saying "I found another present, mommy". It was so much fun!

We made our own pizzas for lunch.
After lunch, she got present #2: A new outfit to wear on her birthday.
We had dirt cake with gummy worms for her birthday cake. Yum!
Happy Birthday, Baby!
During nap time, she got a special surprise. our good friends, the Falks, brought over a gift and left it on the porch for Annie to get. She loves her new Hannah Montana doll.
Right before dinner, she opened present #3: A new outfit to wear to church tomorrow. I will put pics of that up soon.
Nathan took Annie out for a frosty for one last hurrah on her 6th birthday right before bedtime. When she got home present #4 was waiting for her.
New Tinkerbell Pixie hollow pajamas to sleep in on her birthday. Goodnight my precious Annie. God blessed us abundantly when 6 years ago he placed you in our arms. We love you birthday girl!!
